Safety Maintenance Manager

Job description:
Department: Technical Department

Primary Function: Under the supervision of the 1st Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of all safety-related equipment.

Reports To: 1st Engineer

Major Responsibilities:

1. In charge of maintenance of all fire screen doors.

2. In charge of maintenance of all watertight doors.

3. In charge of maintenance of all lifesaving equipment including lifeboats, lifeboat davits, and raft equipment.

4. Responsible for the maintenance of all fixed and portable fire extinguishing systems including CO2.

5. In charge of the maintenance of all fire shutters and fire damper systems.

6. Responsible for the maintenance of lifeboat and tender engines.

7. Directly oversees the following positions:
• Lifeboat attendants
• Machinists

Primary Function: Maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic equipment, installations and machinery under supervision of Chief Electrician.

Reports To: Chief Electrician

Major Responsibilities:

1. Repairs and solves problems on electrical installations.

2. Repairs and solves problems with hotel related installations and equipment.

3. Solve problems with safety equipment as watertight doors, break doors, navigation lights, fire detection systems, etc.

Regular Responsibilities:

4. Training and Familiarization for maintenance, operations and troubleshooting on elevators and escalators.
